I have worked my thesis about Web database on an Intranet. I developed Item Bank by ASP as a server-side scripting, VBScript as client-side scripting, HTML, MS Acess as Database and some ActiveX components. The sever-side scripts can search, retrieve, add, delete, edit or update the Item DB, generate user-ID, user-password for checking authorized-level and use session variables to protect direct-calling any page-name, read/write files on server and calculate the item statistics for presentation in graph. For client-script, there are data-validation for decreasing traffic and server work-load by VBScipt before sending to server.
